Lara croft:tomb raider legend for xbox???

ok i just got to like this place with like a cheetah or w/e that is..then i killed it..and like somehow you have to move these cages so that they get ontop of these squares to weigh them down so they work the gear things..but i dont know how to get the cages up there!! please help!
