No, it was written by the largest sect of Christianity at the time, and the authors would often doctor or flat out remove parts that they didn't agree with. It's basically the interpretation of the events of the bible through the lens of a person with a very specific believe, and who specifically tailored the bible to prove their message, not the message that it actually contained.
