Why do Conservatives blame Democrats for moral failings while ignoring Republican scandals?

I believe it is the democrats that seem to have no moral standings or repercussions for their actions Nixon was impeached and he was a jerk . Clinton was impeached but stayed in office. Republicans get tortured in the media for marital affairs (as they should) where as Dem's seem to get a free p. Granted the republicans run on a moral base and the democrats do not. This allows the Dem's to say and do just about anything since they have no moral basing to justify any actions. Not believing in God does not give anyone the right to live without moral guidelines or common sense.I believe that any elected official regardless of political standing needs to show some kind of decency for others. And if Dem's take some issues so lightly such as marriage (which is an institution based on religion) why are gay americans so much in a hurry to be part of it? (I support gay marriage by the way). I have never heard a republican say that Nixon was not corrupt and sorry many of the fallacies you spoke of Bush and Cheney are as dumb as the fallacies that are running rampid about Obama.
